Collaboration with Tourism Toronto

Hey all,

Recently, I was asked if I was interested in writing a piece about a Toronto Raptors game-day experience. My job was give readers a list of suggested places to eat, drink and play especially on days when the Raptors basketball team played.

This article was fun to write because I was putting down on paper what I usually tell friends and visitors. Click the link below and read the article. In it, I tell you where to eat, what to do and how to get the full game-day Raptors experience. Enjoy y'all and LET'S GO RAPTORS!

Upwards and onwards

Hey all,

Thanks for checking in.

Networking, networking and more networking. Mixed with plenty of writing on TravelMammal.com. Upkeep of all social channels. It goes on and on. No complaints, I love it all.

But since being laid off in July from CTV (along with about 200 others), it's been a tough stretch when it comes to finding steady employment in the TV industry. I'm not the only one who's looking for work but for those who are constantly looking, signing up to events, genuinely getting in touch with friends and former colleagues, inquiring about opportunities, it's been slim pickens.

So in times like this, I like to expand my scope even more so.

After all, creating opportunities is part of the solution to finding employment. It's better than sitting in front of the TV all day or getting out of bed at noon and casually checking (and getting disappointed) with the job boards.

Over the past couple of months and going forward, I have been blogging more and honing my social media management skills. Both are coming along nicely, if I may say so. To go along with that, I've had more time to learn how to speak Spanish, travel a bit and further work on my love of photography and making spontaneous videos wherever I may be. It's been both rewarding and satisfying to further learn, work on my skills, learning new ones and doing what I love.

I continue to look for full time work but in the meantime, I will be developing more content both on this site and Travelmammal.com.

So come back and check in.
